At a recent visit to the mall I wandered into the local Metropark that used to sell my favorite Tokidoki bags. I haven't been to that store since they stopped selling Tokidoki bags. In the place of the Tokidoki bags where these colorful, almost tacky Kidrobot items. I wasn't impressed with the printed jackets. They looked oh too common for me. I felt like you could get a similar jacket somewhere else for half the price. After doing a little googling of this brand online I found the Yummy Breakfast Keychain line by Heidi Kenney. These keychains are so adorable and affordable at only $4.95 a piece. They gave me a different perspective of the brand and didn't appear as happy meal like as the Adult Swim Kidrobot figurines I saw at the mall. I can't decide which keychain to buy. They're all so cute!Tuesday, July 29, 2008

Mini Road Trip
Yesterday my friend invited me to take a trip to Monterey, California with her family. It started out early and we got lost along the way. A trip that could have taken at the most 2 hours ended up being a 6 hour drive. Anyhow the view was spectacular and did not feel like the Bay Area at all. We went to the first beach we saw on the 17 mile drive. Boring as it appeared, it ended up being the highlight of the day. The houses were beautiful and obviously not affordable. But why was there a lack of fashion in the shopping center? Yes, I understand that the 17 mile drive is primarily a golfing community but do they only have to sell golfing attire? It really wouldn't hurt to add a few, cute clothing boutiques other than ones that sell golfing clothes. Otherwise it was a fun day.

Big Hair
I love the movie Marie Antionette. Not for the story itself, it felt like a long history lesson with an unhappy ending. Then again there are only a handful of stories in history that have a happy ending. That's unfortunate for me, considering that if you know me I'm a sucker for happy endings. Anyways, what made this movie enjoyable for me was the fashion. I could not get enough of the beautiful, victorian dresses Kristin Dunst wore! I'd give anything to walk around in dresses that elegant and girly without looking completely stupid and out of date. But what I really liked was the big hair in this movie. It inspired me to tease my hair into more toned down versions for school, without seeming like Marge Simpson. I was satisfied with the results and I'm glad that this style has caught one. From the Simpsons to the Chanel runway it seems like big, teased hair is the new "it" trend.

It's Think Vogue
I'm Think Vogue. A newbie when it comes to blogging but everyone has to start somewhere right? My dream is to work in the fashion industry. Doing what you ask? Well I'm pretty much undecided when it comes to that. Likewise, impossible is not in my vocabulary. My favorite color is pink. I love zebra print and I'm into colorful dresses and flats. Juggling fashion and high school is something I am completely ready for.
